Hair transplantation is a natural and permanent solution to the problem of thinning and baldness in people with hair loss or hair loss. The process of transferring healthy hair follicles to areas where the hair follicle is no longer active and where balding occurs, using microsurgical methods is called hair transplantation. In hair transplantation, the patient’s own healthy hair is added to the spilled area. Hair transplantation is planned and applied completely individually. With the hair transplantation operation, the hair follicles that are resistant to shedding, usually in the nape of the patient, are collected and transplanted into the channels opened in the thinning or completely shedding parts.
WHAT IS HAIR TRANSPLANT?
One of the most common cosmetic problems today is hair loss. Although it is thought to be specific to men, it is a problem that women also face from time to time. It is normal to shed between 50 and 100 strands of hair per day. If there is spillage in numbers above this, a specialist should be consulted. Although hair loss can be reduced or prevented with various hair treatments such as hair laser and PRP, hair transplantation is performed as a permanent solution for people who have experienced heavy shedding.
Hair transplantation is a natural and permanent solution to the problem of thinning and baldness caused by hair loss. With the hair transplantation operation, genetically resistant hair follicles are collected from the nape of the patient and transplanted into the channels opened in the areas where baldness or thinning occurs. Hair transplant operation is a microsurgical operation performed under local anesthesia. For this reason, it should be performed in a hospital environment and accompanied by an anesthesiologist.
BASIC STAGES OF HAIR TRANSPLANT
Hair transplantation operation is performed in three basic stages;
- Collection of hair follicles
After the donor area is prepared for the procedure, the hair follicles are collected one by one with the FUE motor. In the meantime, it is very important that the roots are not damaged. Each of these roots, called grafts, contains an average of 2-3 hairs.
- Opening the channels
Opening the channels at the right size and depth according to the region affects the rate of hair growth. Care should be taken to open a channel suitable for the size and length of the hair follicle to be transplanted.
- Planting the roots in the opened canals
At the last stage, the collected roots are placed in the opened channels one by one at 40-45 degree angles and the hair transplant operation is completed.
The Most Up-to-Date Hair Transplant Technique: FUE method
In hair transplantation, it is the FUE technique, which is a micro-surgical procedure performed under local anesthesia, in which the roots are collected with the help of a micro motor. This technique is the basis for all hair transplantation methods. The differences that distinguish hair transplantation methods from each other are due to the device used when taking the roots, the medical instruments used while opening the channels and during transplantation, and these differences lead to different naming of hair transplantation techniques.
