Beard Transplant

Beard and mustache implantation is the procedure that allows the patient’s healthy and thick hair follicles to be extracted one by one from special areas of the head to appropriate beard and mustache areas. As the implanted follicles are resistant to androgens, they are permanent for life.

No-Needle Anesthesia
Surgeons in LaBella Clinic’a use no needle anesthesia which is a non-invasive anesthetic procedure that uses a high-pressure jet to deliver lidocaine to the subdermal region. It provides effective pain relief during hair transplant procedures since it is administered right before the final anesthesia injections, thus reducing the pain by at least 70%. Following local anesthesia, the hair follicles are extracted from the donor area using a micromotor and micro punches ranging in sizes from 0.6mm, 0.7mm and 0.8 mm.

Beard Transplant Step by Step
Before a beard transplant can be performed, patients have a consultation with the doctor to determine if they are eligible for a transplant. This allows the doctor to estimate the number of follicles that will be needed to achieve the desired results. The doctor then designs a customized beard and mustache according to the patient’s personal preference. It’s also important to have a balance between the patient’s ethnic origin and facial structure. The transplanted hair is placed in the desired location to increase the volume of the patient’s facial hair. The entire procedure is performed under local anesthesia.
